DAY 1 - HOME to BALLINA (D)

Tuesday 15th September 2026: Welcome to our 10 day tour. After morning pickups, we head south along the coast, stopping to purchase lunch. In the afternoon, we visit The Farm in Ewingsdale , a working farm with micro-businesses sharing a common goal. Feeling refreshed, we continue to Ballina for the evening.

DAY 2 - BALLINA to LAKE MACQUARIE (BD)

Wednesday 16th September: Today we travel through Grafton, a city of tree-lined streets and historic buildings. After a morning stop, we continue to Coffs Harbour for a drive to Bruxner Park and Sealy’s Lookout , then free time to purchase lunch. In the afternoon, we head to Argenton for our accommodation.

DAY 3 - LAKE MACQUARIE to GOULBURN (BLD)

Thursday 17th September: We farewell our hosts and travel to Thirlmere to visit the NSW Rail Museum , home to Australia’s largest collection of heritage rolling stock and interactive exhibits. After a tour and lunch, we continue to the historic village of Berrima to see the Courthouse , site of Australia’s first trial by jury. We finish in Goulburn for the evening.

DAY 4 - GOULBURN to JINDABYNE (BLD)

Friday 18th September: After breakfast, we travel south to Cockington Green Gardens , where miniature handcrafted buildings make the world appear at your feet. Next, we experience farm life with Craig Starr and his kelpies at Gold Creek Station , featuring sheepdog work, shearing demos, and talks on the wool industry. After lunch, we relax on the drive to Jindabyne and settle into our accommodation.

DAY 5 - SNOWY MOUNTAINS (BLD)

Saturday 19th September: Today we tour the Snowy Mountains, beginning at the Snowy Region Visitor Centre before heading to Charlotte Pass Lookout for sweeping views of Mount Kosciuszko. We continue through Perisher Valley and enjoy lunch at Sponars Chalet. Back on the Alpine Way, we enter Kosciuszko National Park and stop at Thredbo . Here, we explore the village and take a return trip on the Mt Kosciuszko Chairlift , a 15-minute ride rising 560 metres with stunning views. Our final visit is to Wildbrumby Schnapps , where local fruit and botanicals inspire their award-winning schnapps, gin and vodka.

DAY 6 - SNOWY MOUNTAINS (BLD)

Sunday 20th September: We stop at the Big Trout , a 10-metre sculpture created by local artist Adam Lomnici in 1973, before continuing to Cooma. Morning tea is enjoyed at the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre , where interactive displays showcase the Scheme’s history and its role today. After lunch, we view the Mosaic Time Walk in Centennial Park , depicting the life of the Monaro region from its beginnings to the present. Our final visit is to the Cooma Corrective Service Museum , which explores 200 years of correctional history. A guided tour provides fascinating insights into prison life from the First Fleet to modern times.

DAY 7 - JINDABYNE to MUDGEE (BLD)

Monday 21st September: After breakfast, we farewell our surrounds and stop for a morning break en-route to Collector. Here we enjoy lunch at Olive View Café & Restaurant, with its spectacular views and retail area to browse local goodies. This afternoon we continue our drive, arriving in Mudgee to settle in for the evening.

DAY 8 - MUDGEE to ARMIDALE (BLD)

Tuesday 22nd September: We travel to Tamworth for lunch at the Longyard Hotel before visiting the Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre , home to the Wax Museum and National Guitar Museum. Later, we continue on to Armidale for our overnight stay.

DAY 9 - ARMIDALE to WARWICK (BLD)

Wednesday 23rd September: Travelling through the Granite Belt, we stop at Jamworks for lunch and tastings of their locally made jams and chutneys. In Stanthorpe, we tour the Truffle Discovery Centre , learning about the rare French Perigord Truffle, before continuing to Warwick for our final night together.

DAY 10 - WARWICK to HOME (B)

Thursday 24th September: After breakfast, we visit Bestbrook Mountain Resort to wander the property, view old machinery and enjoy morning tea. We then continue our journey home, stopping en-route for lunch, and arrive with many wonderful memories of our time together.

Monday 12th October 2026: Welcome to our tour to Dubbo. Once onboard, meet fellow travellers, relax, and watch the world go by. In Yelarbon, we stop at the striking Silo Art, the only set in Australia with two tall and six shorter silos in a row. We stop for lunch before arriving in Goondiwindi for our first night together.

DAY 2 - GOONDIWINDI to DUBBO (BLD)

Tuesday 13th October: Today we cross the New South Wales border, stopping in Narrabri for lunch at the Outback Shack, filled with memorabilia and a striking mural. We then continue via Coonabarabran, arriving in Dubbo late afternoon. Tonight, we stay together before the group splits tomorrow due to limited Zoo lodges.

DAY 3 - DUBBO & TARONGA WESTERN PLAINS ZOO (BLD)

Wednesday 14th October: After breakfast we visit Old Dubbo Gaol , a remarkably intact site where guides bring prison history to life. We then tour Dundullimal , a National Trust property built in the 1840s. Its timber slab homestead, T-shaped plan, cedar joinery, stone stables, stockyards, and garden remnants make it a fascinating stop. Lunch follows at Dubbo RSL Club before our first “zoo group” stays overnight at Taronga Western Plains Zoo . Covering 300 hectares, it is one of the world’s largest, with animals roaming in natural habitats. Zoofari Lodges accommodate only half our group, so we split. Those staying enjoy a guided walking tour, dinner, breakfast, and the rare experience of sleeping beside the savannah. The other half visits the Western Plains Cultural Centre , home to the city’s gallery and museum, where a behind-the-scenes tour offers access to artefacts and insights into Dubbo’s past.

DAY 4 - DUBBO & TARONGA WESTERN PLAINS ZOO (BD)

Thursday 15th October: Our first “zoo group” enjoys an African-inspired breakfast before re-joining the tour. With everyone onboard, we take a drive around the zoo with a guide and time to explore the daily program. Lunch is at own cost—why not purchase at the zoo? The second group then stays on for their unique overnight. Those who stayed at Zoofari last night instead visit the Western Plains Cultural Centre, home to the city’s gallery and museum. A behind-the-scenes tour offers access to artefacts and insights into Dubbo’s past before we regroup at the motel for the evening.

DAY 5 - DUBBO to ARMIDALE (BLD)

Friday 16th October: After our memorable Dubbo stay, we farewell our hosts and travel on. In Tamworth we stop for lunch at the Longyard Hotel before arriving at Saumarez Homestead for a guided tour. This rural property remains much as it was when families made it almost self-sufficient. We continue to Armidale to settle in for the night.

DAY 6 - ARMIDALE to TOOWOOMBA (BLD)

Saturday 17th October: We travel north through sheep and cattle country, pausing in Glen Innes. In Warwick we stop for lunch at the RSL Services and Citizens Memorial Club, then continue to Ballandean Estate , Queensland’s oldest family-owned winery. Run by the Puglisi family for over 80 years, it offers a tasting among rustic barrels with views of rolling hills. We finish the day in Toowoomba, with time to refresh before dinner.

DAY 7 - TOOWOOMBA to HOME (B)

Sunday 18th October: After checkout we begin our journey home, stopping at the Workshops Rail Museum . Once employing over 3,000, it now offers an interactive look at the birthplace of Queensland’s Railways—an engaging finale to our trip. We arrive home later today with lasting memories from this unique 7 day holiday with friends.

DAY 4 - SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE & MARITIME MUSEUM (BLFD)

Thursday 24th December: We begin at the iconic Sydney Opera House , home of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, where a guide takes us through this world-renowned architectural masterpiece. After our tour, we enjoy lunch at the Opera Bar. This afternoon, we visit the Australian National Maritime Museum , which explores the nation’s deep ties to the sea through commerce, defence, immigration, exploration, and play. After time at the museum, we return to the hotel to refresh before heading to the Sydney Tower Eye for dinner. At 250 metres above the city, it offers unrivalled 360-degree views of Sydney’s landmarks and beyond.

DAY 6 - BLUE MOUNTAINS (BD)

Saturday 26th December: Today we head into the Blue Mountains, driving along Cliff Drive to Echo Point for views of the famous Three Sisters . At nearby Scenic World we ride the Scenic Railway—the world’s steepest incline—descending 415m through rainforest. A short boardwalk leads us to the Cableway, before finishing with the Scenic Skyway, gliding 270m above ravines and waterfalls. From here, sweeping views reveal the Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Mount Solitary and the vast Jamison Valley—truly spectacular. We return to Sydney this evening and enjoy dinner at the hotel after a fantastic day.

DAY 7 - SYDNEY to YAMBA (BD)

Sunday 27th December: We farewell Sydney and travel to Yamba, a coastal town known for its relaxed vibe and beautiful beaches. Along the way we pause for lunch before visiting Yamba Lighthouse , offering sweeping coastal views. We then settle into our accommodation for the final night of the tour.

DAY 2 - STANTHORPE to TAMWORTH (BLD)

Thursday 21st January: Travelling south, we explore country towns beginning with Glen Innes, where we honour the Celtic connection at the Australian Standing Stones . Early afternoon we reach Uralla for lunch and a visit to Inverness Park Cashmere Farm . Here our welcoming hosts explain farm operations, the value of cashmere, and the spinning process, with time to view product. We finish the day in Tamworth, ready for the Country Music Festival.

DAY 3 - TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL (BD)

Friday 22nd January: This morning we visit Oxley Lookout for sweeping views of Tamworth and the Peel Valley. We then explore the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame , featuring memorabilia from legends like Tex Morton and Slim Dusty to stars such as Keith Urban and Kasey Chambers. Next is the Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre , home to the National Guitar Museum and Gallery of Stars Wax Museum. By afternoon, the Tamworth Country Music Festival is in full swing, with more than 700 performers across 2,800 shows. Guests may purchase tickets for special performances (own expense) or simply enjoy the abundance of free entertainment, including buskers and street acts. The rest of the day is at leisure—immerse yourself in the festival atmosphere!
