TRAVEL ITINERARY
DAY 1 - HOME to BALLINA (D)
Tuesday 15th September 2026: Welcome to our 10 day tour. After morning pickups, we head south along the coast, stopping to purchase lunch. In the afternoon, we visit The Farm in Ewingsdale, a working farm with micro-businesses sharing a common goal. Feeling refreshed, we continue to Ballina for the evening.

DAY 2 - BALLINA to LAKE MACQUARIE (BD)
Wednesday 16th September: Today we travel through Grafton, a city of tree-lined streets and historic buildings. After a morning stop, we continue to Coffs Harbour for a drive to Bruxner Park and Sealy’s Lookout, then free time to purchase lunch. In the afternoon, we head to Argenton for our accommodation.

DAY 3 - LAKE MACQUARIE to GOULBURN (BLD)
Thursday 17th September: We farewell our hosts and travel to Thirlmere to visit the NSW Rail Museum, home to Australia’s largest collection of heritage rolling stock and interactive exhibits. After a tour and lunch, we continue to the historic village of Berrima to see the Courthouse, site of Australia’s first trial by jury. We finish in Goulburn for the evening.

DAY 4 - GOULBURN to JINDABYNE (BLD)
Friday 18th September: After breakfast, we travel south to Cockington Green Gardens, where miniature handcrafted buildings make the world appear at your feet. Next, we experience farm life with Craig Starr and his kelpies at Gold Creek Station, featuring sheepdog work, shearing demos, and talks on the wool industry. After lunch, we relax on the drive to Jindabyne and settle into our accommodation.

DAY 5 - SNOWY MOUNTAINS (BLD)
Saturday 19th September: Today we tour the Snowy Mountains, beginning at the Snowy Region Visitor Centre before heading to Charlotte Pass Lookout for sweeping views of Mount Kosciuszko. We continue through Perisher Valley and enjoy lunch at Sponars Chalet. Back on the Alpine Way, we enter Kosciuszko National Park and stop at Thredbo. Here, we explore the village and take a return trip on the Mt Kosciuszko Chairlift, a 15-minute ride rising 560 metres with stunning views. Our final visit is to Wildbrumby Schnapps, where local fruit and botanicals inspire their award-winning schnapps, gin and vodka.

DAY 6 - SNOWY MOUNTAINS (BLD)
Sunday 20th September: We stop at the Big Trout, a 10-metre sculpture created by local artist Adam Lomnici in 1973, before continuing to Cooma. Morning tea is enjoyed at the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre, where interactive displays showcase the Scheme’s history and its role today. After lunch, we view the Mosaic Time Walk in Centennial Park, depicting the life of the Monaro region from its beginnings to the present. Our final visit is to the Cooma Corrective Service Museum, which explores 200 years of correctional history. A guided tour provides fascinating insights into prison life from the First Fleet to modern times.

DAY 7 - JINDABYNE to MUDGEE (BLD)
Monday 21st September: After breakfast, we farewell our surrounds and stop for a morning break en-route to Collector. Here we enjoy lunch at Olive View Café & Restaurant, with its spectacular views and retail area to browse local goodies. This afternoon we continue our drive, arriving in Mudgee to settle in for the evening.

DAY 8 - MUDGEE to ARMIDALE (BLD)
Tuesday 22nd September: We travel to Tamworth for lunch at the Longyard Hotel before visiting the Big Golden Guitar Tourist Centre, home to the Wax Museum and National Guitar Museum. Later, we continue on to Armidale for our overnight stay.

DAY 9 - ARMIDALE to WARWICK (BLD)
Wednesday 23rd September: Travelling through the Granite Belt, we stop at Jamworks for lunch and tastings of their locally made jams and chutneys. In Stanthorpe, we tour the Truffle Discovery Centre, learning about the rare French Perigord Truffle, before continuing to Warwick for our final night together.

DAY 10 - WARWICK to HOME (B)
Thursday 24th September: After breakfast, we visit Bestbrook Mountain Resort to wander the property, view old machinery and enjoy morning tea. We then continue our journey home, stopping en-route for lunch, and arrive with many wonderful memories of our time together.
